Discover how to connect with local and regional organizations that are recruiting volunteers for general opportunities as well as skilled project specialists. If you've wondered if volunteering was right for you or if you always wanted to volunteer but weren't quite sure how to begin, this one-hour session is for you.

SUCCESSFUL COLLECTION DRIVES

For community members or groups interested in collecting items of food, clothing and building materials, among other things to assist those in need.

Identify strategies and best practices for ensuring items donated and your time are appreciated and respected in this 2 hour workshop.

For community members interested in learning how to plan volunteer projects for themselves, for others, or for local nonprofits

Join us to discover the intricacies of planning and leading a volunteer project! We'll discuss the process from start to finish and consider strategies for organizing and implementing effective and successful projects, perfect for families, friends, community groups, social groups and more. You'll also learn what agencies need from volunteer projects and how to incorporate their needs into the process. For organization staff new to the Volunteer Center and our HandsOn Connect volunteer management system or who just want to learn more.

Join us for an introductory session to learn how to effectively utilize the system to recuit and manage your volunteers. An overview on how to use the system and many features available to our parnters will be presented along with a discussion of things to consider when creating and entering opportunities.
