STEAM Opportunities

Mentors/Tutors

A-OK Volunteers serve as mentors and tutors for elementary and middle school students in Howard County schools. Our volunteers can provide one-on-one mentoring/tutoring during the school day in the schools or serve in special in-school and after-school programs working with children in small groups. A-OK volunteers make a commitment to serve for the school year and do not mentor/tutor in the summer. We are screening and training new volunteers for the current school year. Information Sessions are held that provide details about the organization, available volunteer opportunities, and to begin the process to become a volunteer with A-OK. To view and/or sign up for the next upcoming information session, click here or contact us via email (susan@aokmentor.org) or phone (443) 895-2457. Please Note: The volunteer opportunities require that you be at least 21 years of age and have availability on weekdays, during daytime hours during the school year. For more information, email (susan@aokmentor.org).
