Veteran Interviews for the Library of Congress
The Veterans History Project is an oral history archive that collects the firsthand accounts of US veterans.
Volunteers will find veterans in their communities and conduct an oral history interview of at least 30 minutes in length, and submit the recordings to the Library of Congress where they will be archived and made available to researchers.
A full description of our standards and requirements along with sample questions and all required forms can be found in our Field Kit, which can be downloaded at: http://www.loc.gov/vets/kitmenu.html
A 15 minute video which describes the process and how to conduct a VHP interview can be found on our website as well: http://www.loc.gov/vets/companion-video.html
