BikeAbout Traffic Volunteer
Volunteers are needed for Columbia Association’s (CA) annual Columbia BikeAbout, a free event being held this year on Saturday, September 28, 2019 organized by CA and Columbia Archives.
Volunteers will assist with traffic control and directions, and they will act as guides along the 6-mile route. Flexible shifts are available between 9 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Training — and a free T-shirt — will be provided for those volunteering to help.
Traffic volunteers will be stationed along our 6-mile route throughout the pathway system. Traffic assistance consists of asking bike riders to stop and wait for car traffic to pass. Please do not stop traffic.
Knowledge of pathways in the Village of Long Reach or the ability to identify locations using pathway map is a plus.

Note: To signup a volunteer that does not meet the minimum age only the minimum age with adult age, parents/adults need to create a team which includes themselves and the volunteer(s) that are under age. The parent/adult can then “sign up with a team” for the opportunity selecting the team members who will volunteer. Click here for more information related to Family & Youth Group Volunteers.
