1920's Host

HoCoPoLitSo and Howard Community College's Arts Collective partner to create a transcendent evening of music, poetry, and visual art from the 1920’s Harlem Renaissance. Artists such as Langston Hughes, Georgia Douglas Johnson, and Duke Ellington will explore the power of words and music in an atmosphere evocative of a prohibition speakeasy. Celebrate HoCoPoLitSo’s 45th anniversary with this unique historical exploration of the art that transformed our world.

Hosts will provide customer service to both event guests and artists. More information on the event can be found at https://hocopolitso.org/programs/
