S.A.F.E. Food Pantry Board Member

S.A.F.E. Food Pantry is currently seeking dedicated individuals to serve as Board Members. The S.A.F.E. Board ensures the availability of emergency food assistance and provides leadership through advocacy, education and community partnerships to better serve the needs of community members with dietary restrictions. Ideal candidates will possess any of the following knowledge or experience:

  • Financial Management
  • Fund Development, preferably with access to funding sources
  • Medical or nutritional credentials, preferably focused on food allergy health issues
  • Health/food allergy education
  • Persons with personal experience with food allergies or sensitivities
  • Reputational Capital in the nonprofit, political or governmental sectors

Board Members serve a 1 to 3 year term (rolling-term based) and meet monthly for either board or committee meetings on the 2nd Thursday of the month in Howard County. Board meetings are also held virtually, but in-person attendance is expected for the majority of meetings.

S.A.F.E. - Supplying Allergy Friendly and Emergency - Food Pantry (S.A.F.E. Food Pantry) is an all-volunteer 501(c)(3) organization. We provide emergency food assistance to those in need of special dietary food for nourishment. All of our foods are gluten free and allergy-friendly to accomocate the growing population with food allergies, celiac disease, gluten intolerance, and other medical needs.
