Family Friend - Safe Families for Children

Family Friends form a support network for both the families in need and the host families. Family friends take care of perform small tasks, such as dropping off diapers, babysitting for a few hours, delivering a meal, or helping with transportation. These supportive relationships are crucial to the success of SFFC.

Safe Families for Children™ (SFFC) mobilizes a network of compassionate volunteers to wrap around families facing crisis. While some volunteers temporarily provide housing for kids, others step in to mentor parents and help them achieve their goals. These supportive relationships provide the safety net many vulnerable families need to keep children out of the state foster care system and achieve long-term stability. www.buildingfamiliesforchildren.org/sffc

Building Families for Children (BFC) is the local implementer of Safe Families for Children (SFFC) in Maryland. BFC was founded in 1920 to “share the love of Christ by helping Maryland’s most vulnerable children thrive in families,” and SFFC is an important part of that mission! www.buildingfamiliesforchildren.org || www.facebook.com/buildingfamiliesforchildren
