Columbia Bicycle and Pedestrian Count

We are almost there! Volunteers Needed for Remaining Open Slots for all Dates.

Columbia Association and Howard County's Office of Transportation need volunteers to help count the number of bicyclists and pedestrians on pathways in Columbia and on-street locations along Route 1.

The counts will be held between Thursday, May 31 and Thursday June 13 in two hour increments. This information will give CA and the Howard County Government a better understanding of the number and the demographics of people who walk and cycle along these routes, validating the impact of past improvements and informing future infrastructure investments.

A training session will be offered for new Bicycle and Pedestrian Count Program volunteers on Wednesday, May 30 from 6:30-7:30pm at Columbia Association Headquarters (6310 Hillside Court, Columbia).

Volunteers urgently needed for Saturday June 9th and Tuesday June 12th.

Please contact Jessica Bellah directly at Jessica.Bellah@columbiaassociation.org or 410-715-3166 with any questions or to sign up. Thank you for your interest and your service.
