Label Sewers

Project Linus of Howard County is in need of adults to sew labels onto donated blankets. Very basic sewing skills are all that is needed. We meet at the Bain Senior Center in Columbia on the second and fourth Mondays from 9 - 11:30am.

Conservation Stewardship Project

The Conservation Stewardship Project, a joint program of the Howard County Master Gardeners and the Howard County Recreation & Parks, targets the problem of controlling invasive exotic plant species in the Middle Patuxent Environmental Area (MPEA). Volunteer work dates occur monthly from March through November, skipping July and August. Each date includes an educational component concerning the target invasive species or work area for the day. We are hosting a Fundraising Embassy Party where we showcase our organization. The event is at the Embassy of Nigeria Washington DC, on Saturday February 16, 2019 at 7pm. We need a videographer to record this event. This is an opportunity to travel to Nigeria without leaving the United States. Applicant must be at least 18, complete application and background check.

Event To Remember!!

We are hosting a Fundraising Embassy Party to raise money to buy hepatitis vaccines for the poor Nigerian population. The event is on Saturday February 16, 2019 at 5 - 10 pm at the Embassy of Nigeria in Washington, DC. We need a volunteer in photography. Responsible for taking pictures of the event.
