BikeAbout Traffic Volunteer

Volunteers are needed for Columbia Association’s (CA) annual Columbia BikeAbout, a free event being held this year on Saturday, September 29, 2018 organized by CA and the Columbia Archives. Volunteers will assist with traffic control and directions, and they will act as guides along the 12-mile route. Flexible shifts are available between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m. Training — and a free T-shirt — will be provided for those volunteering to help. Traffic volunteers will be stationed along our 12 mile route throughout the pathway system. Traffic assistance consists of asking bike riders to stop and wait for car traffic to pass. Please do not stop traffic. Knowledge of pathways in the villages of Wilde Lake, Harper's Choice, Hickory Ridge and Town Center, or ability to identify locations using pathway map is a plus. BikeAbout History Buff

Volunteers are needed for Columbia Association’s (CA) annual Columbia BikeAbout, a free event being held this year on Saturday, September 29, 2018 organized by CA and the Columbia Archives. Volunteers will be outgoing and interested in learning about Columbia's history. Several historical sites are located along the 12-mile route. Flexible shifts are available between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m. Training — and a free T-shirt — will be provided for those volunteering to help. History site volunteers will be provided a script about their site. During the event volunteers will answer questions from BikeAbout participants about the site.
