Become a Partner

Build connections. Through an online platform and community outreach activities, the Volunteer Center connects local nonprofit organizations seeking volunteers to community members seeking volunteer opportunities.

Nonprofit and governmental agencies seeking volunteers can register with the Volunteer Center Serving Howard County as a partner organization.  Registration is free. 

Complete the required Organization Agreement form. This memo of understanding between Volunteer Center Serving Howard county and your organization outlines the relationship.  Submit the form by clicking the button at the bottom of the form

Approved organizations can submit volunteer opportunities. Partner staff will be granted access to your organization portal where volunteer opportunities can be input and volunteers managed.

New Partner Staff Orientations help you get the most from your partner status. Offered once a month, learn how to optimize the use of volunteerhoward.org to increase visibility, recruit more volunteers and identify skilled volunteers. Sessions are free, but regsitration is requested

The online referral system (powered by HandsOn Connect) is a powerful way to find local volunteers.  Once you list your opportunities, be sure to add Volunteer Center Serving Howard County to your website and provide a link to your listings on VolunteerHoward.org. Adding VolunteerHoward.org to your website makes it easier for visitors to record their volunteer hours.
