Resident Visitors - 2019 MLK Day of Service

Come join us for the MLK Day to Serve. Ideas for service could include sharing stories about the unique cultural diversity of both volunteers and clients reflecting the spirit of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Other ideas could include an art project helping our clients make cards of encouragement echoing MLK ideas and values. Cards will be sent to a Head Start School for words of encouragement to our youth and to be displayed. We are open to other suggestions volunteers might have that mirrors MLK’s dream of a world that honors all people of the world.

Holidays 2018

Our community is a giving community so many service opportunities for the holiday season are filled. Please visit the Guide to Giving to identify organizations and projects that are currently seeking assistance during this time of year. For year-round needs browse our organizations or check out the monthly calendar.

Generosity and dedication to community are sincerely appreciated 365 days a year! Thank you!

Note: Internet Explorer browser incompatibility

After Sunday, March 31, 2019, HandsOn connect — our Volunteer Management Software — will no longer support Internet Explorer 11 (IE11) and earlier versions. This does not mean that you can no longer use this browser, but you may encounter problems that will not be addressable.

In 2015, Microsoft released the Edge browser as a replacement for Internet Explorer, meaning Internet Explorer no longer receives significant updates, including the latest security improvements and features needed to support rich applications such as HandsOn Connect.

As of October 2018, less than 3% of all browser usage was on IE11. If you are one of the last diehards, we strongly recommend that you stop using IE11 and upgrade. It does not support security standards that are built into modern browsers and user experience improvements that newer browsers offer.
